‘The text of Krismas dodzi vo invites us to listen to the angels who are proclaiming the birth of Jesus Christ. The angels” song itself, using words from the Bible, draws on Ghanaian ”highlife”, a popular dance style dating from the early twentieth century. An English text is presented alongside the original Ewe language of Eastern Ghana.’
