Behold the Lamb is a powerful, yet reverent description of the act of Holy Communion. Its writer, Keith Getty (along with Kristyn Getty and Stuart Townend), tells us that the first verse is meant to prepare us to receive, the second verse focuses on the bread, and the third verse, the wine. The final verse is the response of the faithful as we go out into the world, strengthened by the experience. Thoughtfully and sensitively arranged by Andy Albritton, alternate voicings, instrumental parts, as well as a fully-orchestrated accompaniment are available.

5 Variationen für Chor und Orgel über einen Choral von Melchior Teschner
Valet will ich dir geben – Du arge, falsche Welt… Nach dem geistlichen Gedicht von Valerius Herberger und in Anlehnung an die Choralmelodie von Melchior Teschner hat der französische Komponist Naji Hakim (*1955) ein bewegendes Werk für Chor und Orgel geschrieben. Die 5 Choralvariationen führen von himmlischer Freude in den Chorstimmen zu einem anmutigen Satz für Orgel-Solo; dann leitet Hakim über zu einem Satz für Chor a cappella und einem Kanon für Sopran und Alt mit Orgelbegleitung. Mit einer bewegten Toccata, die von einem ausdrucksvollen Adagio in der Mitte ergänzt wird, endet das expressive Werk.

Dieses kurze und zunächst oberflächlich wirkende Blick auf Gottheit stellt sich als eine nachdenkliche Beteuerung heraus, dass die Definitionen und Konzepte von Gottheit meist nicht realistästauglich sind, da sie sich außerhalb des rationalen Vermögens der Menschen befinden. Obwohl es sich hier nur um eine einstimmiges Chorstück handelt (mit optionalen Stimmteilungen), ist es für jede einzelne Sängerin, für jeden einzelnen Sänger und für den ganzen Chor dennoch eine Herausforderung.
